Help Save PCS!

For over 35 years, Portland Center Stage has belonged to our entire community, and that means you! In that time, the theater has served 4 million patrons, engaged more than 150,000 students and teachers through its education programs, served more than 100,000 individuals through free community programs, collaborated with over 1000 local nonprofits and community groups, and provided work for thousands of artists, artisans, and technicians. We’re proud of the work we do and the impact we have on our community.

PCS has had a challenging journey over the last five years; and yet - amazingly! - we’re here, creating a space of art and civic engagement that benefits our entire community. As we build back strong, we turn to you for your instrumental support to ensure that we survive this year, and more importantly that we thrive well into the future.

Please join us in our journey to raise $9 million by June 2026. We’ve already raised $4 million AND we still have a long way to go. Help us keep the momentum going. This theater matters to hundreds of thousands of people, across generations. You’ve laughed here, you’ve cried here, you’ve felt lifted up here, you’ve been on the edge of your seat here, you’ve felt seen here. PCS matters to you, and to all of us!

Your support today ensures that we survive this season, and more importantly that we thrive well into the future!

Eleni Gerding, Volunteer - “Personally, I am continually inspired by PCS’s bold approach to storytelling. Their productions not only elevate diverse voices, proving that artistic excellence and social justice are inseparable but embrace all members of our community in a welcoming way. Every visit leaves me enriched—not only by the performances but by the vibrant sense of community they cultivate."

Eleanor Warner, JAW Teen Playwright - “ My experience with PCS during the JAW festival was incredible! Getting guidance and feedback from artists who work professionally in the theater was so helpful and the entire team there was supportive of me as we worked through the process. It was both extremely educational and fascinating to watch the other plays being put on that weekend take shape and it was an invaluable experience for both the writing and directing processes that go on behind the scenes. I am so thankful that I was able to be a part of it!”
